The Upper School is filled with teachers that are so experienced, so smart. We have PhDs and master's degrees. The teachers are content specialists that have a unique way of reaching kids. 

In 11th and 12th grade, each of those year of students culminate the year in writing their thesis. And those are quite impressive achievements. It is the coming together of many of the different content and many different skills, and they come out with a genuine piece of academics. We have an art department and a theater department. We put on plays. 

Collaboration is integral to learning. And students in the Upper School are consistently put together to hone leadership skills, to hone communication skills, to hone their academic skills in group, in problem solving-- and application to the real world. 

We have experiential learning, that is taking our students to various parts of the country, various parts of the world, where they can apply what they've learned in the classroom. This is a small learning community where people interact and care about one another, where we foster character and integrity. 

The expectations of individual behavior and communication are held high. And we believe in each one of our students' ability to meet those high.
